Youtube Feather for slow computer connections
Youtube has not forgotten about all those people with slow computers or bad internet connections. They have launched a new experimental Feather viewing system.
Feather limits the amount of features available to users and cuts the how much data is downloaded by users browsers. Less data means that even regions might not suffer slow computer problems when they are viewing the same video has someone in a high speed part of the world.
The Youtube engineers know that some regions of the world have limited bandwidth available so videos run extremely slow on users computers in these countries. The new feather system is designed for these regions of the world. Its slowly being rolled out in certain locations.
