You might think that the good old USA has the fastest internet access in the world. people in this highly developed nation should not be suffering slow computer problems because their broadband speeds are not delivering a true world class speed.
Well its South Korea that is actually leading the world in internet access speed according to a new study published by the folks over at www.speedmatters.org. That website is run by Communication Workers of America who believe that affordable high speed internet access should be available to all Americans.
Their policy seems pretty clear cut. Assume the following. You have people spending thousands of dollars on computers so they end up with some of fastest running computers in the developed world. No slow running computer problems with your new purchase from best Buy. But if your broadband speed is slow how can you fully take advantage of everything thats available on the internet. Also assume that folks over in Korea and Japan have the same fast running computer. But their broadband is running five or ten times fastest than some folks in the USA. Their users and therefore their economy can develop faster in certain areas because people arre not stuck behind some slow running computer thats downloading at 3.1mbps when someone in Korea is downloading at 30.0mbps.
